Since
1985, BASELINE has conducted more than 300 Phase I and Phase
II Environmental Assessments for our clients. We have performed
site assessments for residential, commercial, industrial, and
agricultural properties throughout Northern California. All of
our Phase I site assessments are performed by senior environmental
professionals and meet or exceed American Society for Testing
and Materials standards. Much of our site assessment practice
is related to development or redevelopment projects, where a
Phase I site assessment is performed not solely for due diligence
purposes but also litigation support. Based on the findings of
an assessment, BASELINE can recommend creative solutions to match
the project needs and risk management profiles of our clients. We have also performed numerous Initial Site Assessments (ISAs) and Preliminary Site Investigations (PSIs) for transportation projects in California in conformance with Caltrans guidance documents. For Phase II and PSI projects, we investigate the presence of contaminants in soil and groundwater, including aerially-deposited lead assessments. We routinely classify soils to determine disposal or reuse options.
